During an extensive operation conducted at Lahore Airport, officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration apprehended five travelers trying to depart the country with fraudulent travel papers and visas. According to an official statement from the FIA representative, these detainees included men known as Sajid Ali, Jawad Ahmed, Tahseen Ali, Owais Khan, and Farooq Ahmed. These individuals attempted boarding Flight HY-462 bound for Uzbekistan but raised suspicion during routine passport checks. Further inquiry exposed that all suspects carried falsified Uzbek visas embedded within their Pakistani passports. The detained subjects confessed that they acquired these illegal visas through brokers referred to as Usman, Shahid, and Ayub, each of whom demanded significant payments. Altogether, the middlemen amassed approximately 2.9 million Pakistani Rupees for providing this illicit documentation service. Authorities have since handed over the captured passengers to the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit located in Lahore where additional investigations will be pursued. Furthermore, District Chief Officer Sarfraz Khan Virk disclosed that current efforts aim to dismantle networks engaged in manufacturing false identification materials.
