Aviation expert reveals why you should NEVER wear shorts on a plane

As summer approaches, the time for wearing shorts is fast approaching as well.

However, wearing your favorite shoes for your upcoming flight might be a significant error, as revealed by a flight attendant.

Tommy Cimato ( @tommycimato ), took to TikTok To caution travelers about revealing too much of their legs during a flight.

The flight attendant remarks: "One can never tell how clean the seats might be—so if you’re wearing trousers, you’ll likely come into contact with fewer germs."

Moreover, shorts are not the sole article of clothing you might wish to steer clear from when boarding your upcoming flight.

According to another flight attendant, sliders (slide-on sandals), flip-flops, and high heels should be avoided as well.

Andrea Fischbach, an American Airlines The flight attendant mentioned that the shoes might endanger passengers during an emergency situation.

The flight attendant told Who What Wear 'I strongly recommend avoiding high heels, flip-flops, or any sandals, primarily for safety reasons.'

If an evacuation occurs and slides are needed, you must remove your high heels because they could puncture the slide.

Airlines typically inform passengers during the initial safety video before takeoff that they must take off their high heels to use the emergency slide.

Additionally, an aviation specialist has recommended that travelers refrain from taking off their shoes entirely while aboard an aircraft.

Christine Negroni told The Sun If you exit an airplane, the ground may be extremely hot or cold, possibly coated with oil or ablaze, and landing in a cornfield means you definitely shouldn’t have your feet exposed.

Passengers might also be at risk of putting their bare feet on a dirty aircraft floor if they remove their shoes.
