TikToker Rachael Otuoma has firmly denied allegations spreading online suggesting that she quickly started a new relationship with someone else just weeks following the death of her husband, ex-footballer Ezekiel Otuoma.
During an heartfelt and candid conversation with Nailantei Kenga on KTN’s Art of Living, Rachael spoke about the speculations surrounding her alleged new romance with a popular TikToker referred to as The Manace.
The content creator, who has stayed in the spotlight following her husband’s passing, refuted the rumors and mentioned that although she and The Monarch have a strong connection, their relationship is strictly non-romantic.
"I'm letting things develop naturally regarding my love life because that's what people expect to witness. However, I'm actually not involved romantically," she explained, emphasizing that her connection with The Manace has been misconstrued.
"They assigned me someone named The Manace. He is a close friend—a very dear one of mine. He shows genuine care," she went on to say.
When questioned about the possibility of dating him, Rachael answered openly:
No, he looks great, but I wouldn't consider dating him since he's just a close friend. He appears attractive, yet not for me.
During the interview, the bereaved widow shared how the negative reaction she faced on social media has affected her emotionally, particularly comments accusing her of "recovering too fast" or baseless speculations regarding her private affairs.
"People can be quite cruel on social media. Many of them envy me. They didn't anticipate that I would emerge as a resilient woman despite everything that transpired. They assumed I'd beg for sympathy afterward," Rachael revealed.
I have transformed into a new individual, dedicated to self-improvement, earning my living, and finding happiness. Envy will destroy them. They aim to tear me down since I no longer plead for anything.
Rachael's statements showcase the resilience and determination she has fostered through a challenging period in her life.
She confessed that despite seeming calm in public, the grief over losing her spouse continues to burden her deeply.
“I sometimes shed tears. Grieving is a journey, and I haven’t fully recovered from it yet,” she said, with her voice almost cracking at this poignant instant.
Otuoma, a revered soccer player, succumbed to a long-standing ailment.
Following his death, Rachael has demonstrated exceptional fortitude, leveraging her influence to narrate her path through sorrow and recovery.
