In the initial three months of 2025, Morocco saw an all-time high of 4 million visitors, which represents a 22% increase compared to the corresponding timeframe in the previous year, as reported by the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy.
This increase highlights the nation's growing status as an all-year travel spot, bolstered by increased enthusiasm since the beginning of the year.
The number of international tourists reached 2.1 million, whereas members of the Moroccan diaspora contributed another 1.9 million arrivals, highlighting the increasing attractiveness and variety of Morocco's tourist offerings.
In March alone, there were 1.4 million arrivals, representing an increase of 17% compared to the previous year, even though it overlapped with the holy month of Ramadan—a typically slow time for tourism.
"These statistics highlight the significant evolution of Morocco's tourism industry, which has effectively reimagined itself to cater to the demands of more selective tourists," stated Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor in a press release.
The ministry credits this achievement to improved marketing strategies, upgraded infrastructure, and an expansion of cultural and eco-tourism options designed to appeal to both established and new tourist sources.
