Mumbai (Maharashtra), India, April 10 (ANI): With the release of "Kesari Chapter 2" approaching, Akshay Kumar is ensuring that audiences gain a deep understanding of both the compelling narrative and the individual at its core.
The actor from 'Sky Force,' portraying C. Sankaran Nair — the lawyer who opposed the British Empire following the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy — has been giving fans a peek into his character, resonating well with audiences.
On Thursday, Akshay posted a dramatic black-and-white montage on his Instagram profile. The image consisted of two halves: one side displayed the actual photo of C. Sankaran Nair, and the opposite side showcased Akshay portraying the character.
"The Southern mindset combined with Northern strength led us to battle together and rise as one. It’s an honor to introduce C. Sankaran Nair — a man who challenged the British Empire following the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre through legal means rather than weapons, fueled by passion within him,” said the caption accompanying his post.
Shortly after the actor shared the photo, fans flooded the comments section. One commented, "Akki Pajji in a nationalistic character is simply..." Another fan wrote, "This film will surely touch your heart."
Previously on Wednesday, Akshay shared another picture — a poster depicting him in the attire of a Kathakali performer.
Accompanying the image, he included a caption stating, “This isn’t just a costume; it’s a symbol — representing tradition, defiance, honesty, and my homeland. C. Sankaran Nair did not wield arms against them. Instead, he battled the British Empire using legal means and an unwavering passion within him. The movie's trailer, unveiled earlier this month, offers a peek at the intense and compelling courtroom confrontation spearheaded by Nair. The cast includes Ananya Panday as a law student and R. Madhavan portraying Neville McKinley.
The initial segment of the movie Kesari featured Parineeti Chopra and focused on the bravery of 21 Sikh warriors during the 1897 battle.
